🔍 ggplot2 [un]charted

👋 Hi!

I know, it’s not Saturday today 🙈.

But this week is special to me because I’m launching my latest project!!

Can I tell you the story?

I love R

About 13 years ago, I finished my master's degree in genetics and started working as a bioinformatician. I discovered the joy of data analysis and fell in love with the final step: building great charts.

To document what I learned, I created the R Graph Gallery, a collection of chart examples with code and explanations.

Examples are sorted by chart types. There are hundreds of them, and you don't want to know how long I spent making them!

Maybe you’ve used it before, like thousands of others every month 😳.

R + Dataviz = ❤️

I never stopped my quest for great graphs, and ggplot2 has been a huge part of that journey.

It has inspired so much creativity, and over the years, I’ve continued to collect the best examples for the gallery.

What you can do with R is just incredible.

Among the many talented creators, Cédric Scherer’s work stands out. He’s prolific, detail-oriented, and always pushing the boundaries of what ggplot2 can do.

So I caught a train

Last month, I traveled to Berlin to meet him in person.

We quickly decided to collaborate on a new project: ggplot2 [un]charted.

It's an online course that distills everything we know about creating stunning data visualizations in R.

It’s designed to be straight to the point, maximizing your learning efficiency.

🔥 It’s live!

We’re currently in the pre-launch week, which means you can join at the lowest price until Sunday evening.

After that, we’ll release the lessons progressively, about one or two per week.

Enrolling gives you lifetime access, a spot in a private Discord for feedback about your graphs, and a full refund if you’re not satisfied — no questions asked.

If you want to learn how to make great graphs with R, join us before Sunday!

PS: My usual dataviz newsletter will go out next Saturday, followed by a final course reminder on Sunday. Then no more promo emails, I promise!

PPS: I’ve poured countless hours into my open-source projects and this ad-free newsletter. Selling courses is what makes it all possible, so thanks for understanding!

PPPS: I can't believe it, but 122 joined in less than 48h 😳
